European Parliament President Roberta Metsola reacted positively to Germany’s decision to transfer Marder tanks to Ukraine. In addition, she also supported the supply of Leopard tanks to protect against the aggression of the Russian Federation.
Metsola emphasized the importance of continuing military support for Ukraine, as Russia would like Europe to turn its back on Kyiv.
“This cannot be assumed. It is important that Europe continues to support the Ukrainians in political, humanitarian and military terms. But it is also important that Europe strengthens its own defense forces and becomes a real defense union,” the President of the European Parliament said.
