Oleksandr Solontai, director of practical policy programs at the Institute of Political Education, spoke about this live on Channel 24, naming important changes in European geopolitics that occurred under the influence of the war in Ukraine.
Solontai emphasized that incredible tectonic changes are taking place in world geopolitics in 2022.
Ukraine is a candidate for EU membership.
Firstly, “at the beginning of 2022, no one could have thought that in the middle of the year Ukraine would become a candidate for joining the European Union,” Solontai stressed.
Of course, discussions about the possibility of an attack on Ukraine were going on even before the start of the war, but at that time few people dared to say that the result of this would be an acceleration of the course towards European integration of Ukraine.
